CLOUD CAMPAIGN 2018 - PRESS RELEASE

Sunday, April 01, 2018

NILAI, NEGERI SEMBILAN, March 17, 2018 — The Cloud Campaign is an upcoming awareness event at INTI International University as a platform to encourage creative expression among the campus youth, ages 16 to 25 years old. The campaign will be launched at the university library foyer on April 4 from 10 am and will end at 4 pm

This one of a kind awareness campaign will serve as a medium to celebrate creativity on campus, and simultaneously endorse student’s creative nature with pride.

“Creativity is moving away from routine so it has to do with innovative approaches, it is your passion and perseverance that creativity becomes a reality.” said Chan Pee Ven, Head of Programme of the Mass Communication programme in support of the execution of this campaign.

It is important to realize that creativity is necessary and relevant to developing minds in all fields and not only in arts. Creativity is one of the greatest qualities any of us can be blessed with, yet many never allow their true creativity to be expressed. The solution is to break the stereotypes and social boundaries that restricts creative expression among the students.

The inspiration of the campaign is based on the metaphor the cloud of creativity. Throughout the course of the campaign, students are encouraged to board the cloud to express their creativity. Cotton clouds will be used to liven up the venue to symbolize the ‘cloud of creativity’ and to create a dreamy ambience, perfect to stimulate the participants’ imagination and creativity.

Activities.

The campaign will consist of a series of Creative Stations specialized for various fields of creativity. These stations will serve as platforms to facilitate different forms of creative expressions. One of the highlights of the campaign is getting students to paint, draw and make any form of art with blank art canvases which are available at one of the Creative Stations.

In addition, a stage will be open to all where students can take part in singing, poetry reciting, public speaking and spoken word.

There will also be a craft station with all the materials needed for students to participate in making paper crafts to unwind. The creative stations are open for participants to express their creativity safely in an accepting environment- in hopes that the newly received recognition for their expression will motivate participants to continue with their expression for the long-term.

In conjunction to the encouragement of creative expression, the organizers of the campaign are to launch a photo blog as a virtual exhibition, which will host the creative work of the participants from the campaign as a testimony- to when INTI embraced such a colorful part of their student-centricity. The blog will also serve as a permanent medium, which will continue to instill the ideologies behind the campaign post-event.
