Catrice Cosmetics Favorites 2017 | Giveaway [CLOSED]

Hello, Dolls & Gents,

Last year, Catrice Cosmetics found a special place in my makeup kit. Not only due to its inexpensive prices, but also due to their versatile range of products at the drugstore. Truth be told, Catrice Cosmetics is the first booth I would stand at hypnotized every time I walk into a drugstore. Since this ship has sailed quite a bit… I would like to share with you 5 noteworthy products/lines which will definitely become staples in my makeup kit. I have chosen to avoid including limited edition products, despite my strong love affair with them.

Prime & Fine Smoothing Refiner.

I genuinely fell in love with this product because it’s the most comfortable and ‘smoothing’ drugstore primer I have ever come across. Glides like butter and fills in the pores satisfactorily. I loved the primer so much that… previously, I wrote a comparison post referring to this primer as a proper dupe for the Benefit Porefessional primer. It is gentle on sensitive skin and doesn’t have much of a fragrance to it.

Nude Illusion Loose Powder – Transparent Matt.

This Mattifying powder is an ideal setting powder. Colorless and finely mild. So fine that it doesn’t perform as an additional layer, but melts into the foundation beautifully. However, this is not the best powder for baking, as it tends to absorb oils and sets quickly… hence too much powder can appear unpleasantly cakey. This is an affordable soft-focus effect in a tub. I haven’t noticed problems with flashback.

Sun Glow Matt Bronzing Powder – Darker skin.

Definitely the most perfect pigment for my skin tone. Instantly warms up the face and has great staying power. This product too is finely mild and blends like a dream. I also love wearing it as an eyeshadow, to cancel out darkness on days I don’t wear any cream or liquid base.

Liquid Metal Long Lasting Cream Eyeshadows. (The whole range)

These cream eyeshadows are comfortable and set rather quickly. Yet you still get a chance to blend without it setting right away. Layering makes the product even more vibrant and is better suited for finger blending. Meanwhile, it is gorgeous on its own and as a base for other eyeshadows. The product does not break apart if applied over a properly prepped lid and it does not clump.

Kohl Kajal – My Dream of Carribean.

The perfect turquoise for a fun and refreshing look. These pencils are buttery and highly pigmented. They don’t irritate my eyes and stays looking crisp for at least 6-8 hours.

There you have it. 5 noteworthy mentions which are staples in my makeup kit. I can't wait for their 2018 releases.
